Laurie is a certified nurse midwife with 27 years of midwifery experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters in Science Nursing in Midwifery from Case Western University.  As a clinical instructor, she teaches OB residents as part of their training at MAHEC where she is employed for many years.

She has been caring for women and families through their lifespan and she says it has inspired her to appreciate the wild unknown and the deepest silence.

Together with her family, she lives on a farm raising wee pigs, growing flowers, and spending hours spinning, dying, and weaving.
